This year at the 2013 International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE) in Calgary!
Open to non-indigenous and indigenous attendees, this interactive session aims to help participants understand the key issues affecting the health and healing of many indigenous communities in Canada, and through extension, the disparities and inequities in the quality of health care of other groups under threat.
Facilitated by Dr. Barry Lavallée, Dr. Charlotte Reading and Carrie Bourassa, PhD, this unique workshop will allow time to provide background and key findings, as well as breakout and brainstorming sessions, to discuss issues and topics connected to the Indigenous health values and principles statement.
Don’t miss this distinctive opportunity to encompass skills to address the health and healing needs of a wide variety of patient communities both in Canada and abroad. This workshop will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at ICRE, as part of the competency-based education track.
