Two weeks ago, we announced the winner of the 2015 Program Administrator Award for Innovation and Excellence, Ginette Snook.
Since 2007, Ginette has been an invaluable resource and pillar of support for countless residents navigating the early stages of their careers at the University of Ottawa’s Department of Ophthalmology.
Ginette is always there to offer support and words of encouragement to her residents, and now, they’re returning the sentiment!
Here are just a few examples of what residents at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute had to say about this exceptional PA:
- “Ginette offers exceptional help and support not only as a colleague but also as a friend. She is always ready to lend her hand for all matters that she could possibly help us with”.
- “All the work that she does is done with her heart, and it really shows all the time. Our program owes some of its strength to have Ginette on our team”.
- “Ginette is in short, the backbone of this program. Her sense of initiative, organization and resourcefulness has made her an invaluable asset to our program. She never lets anything fall through the cracks, which is all too easy when you are managing schedules and coordinating meetings, interviews, CARMS, grand rounds, holidays, unexpected maternity leaves, etc.”
- “Ginette Snook is an exemplary residency program administrator. She is not only capable, organized and reliable, but also incredibly kind and approachable.”
