Though leadership education has always been a topic that has resonated with participants of ICRE, it is now being put front and centre for 2016, as the latest addition to ICRE’s comprehensive list of Learning Tracks.
Through innovative workshops, sessions and paper/poster presentations, the Leadership Education track will address all aspects of leadership education, including defining leadership; enhancing training models for residents and faculty; and outlining approaches to assessing leadership abilities.
The full list of workshops, sessions and pre-conference programming taking place during the September 29 – October 1, 2016 conference in Niagara Falls, Canada will be available once registration opens in early April 2016.
In the meantime, head over to the Royal College website and read the March issue of Dialogue, where track chair Dr. Ming-Ka Chan discusses why leadership matters in the context of 21st century medical education.
