With health care demands continuing to shift and evolve in the 21st century, it is becoming increasingly important for medical education and practice to place a particular focus on enhancing quality of care, in order to exceed patient expectations – and ultimately, improve outcomes.
That’s why we’re issuing an urgent call to all educators and medical professionals to attend the Building the Bridge to Quality conference, September 28-29, 2016 in Niagara Falls, Canada.
During this special two-day event, held just prior to ICRE 2016, participants will listen in on dynamic panels and plenaries – including an inspiring headlining address from quality improvement (QI) pioneer Dr. Linda Headrick – and will join breakout groups facilitated by a number of international leaders in patient safety and QI including:
- Karyn Baum, MD, MSEd
- Eric Holmboe, MD, FACP, FRCP
- Fiona Moss, CBE, MD, FRCP
- Greg Ogrinc, MD, MS
- Kaveh G. Shojania, MD, FRCPC
- Eric Warm, MD, FACP
- Brian Wong, MD, FRCPC
- Emma Vaux, MD, PhD
By bringing together thought leaders, learners, frontline clinicians and policy makers from around the world, the goal of Building the Bridge to Quality will be to generate an actionable list of recommendations that participants can take back with them to guide the transformation of patient safety and QI education in their own institutions.
