In 2012, the Department of Medicine, King Abdulaziz Medical City, King Fahad National Guard Hospital, in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, introduced three new models to enhance competency-based training activities of its residents. The first model improves case or topic presentation. The second focuses on diagnostic labeling in order to improve decision making by the residents. The third promotes the cognitive conceptualization of medical management to improve quality of care. ICRE recently spoke with Dr. Imad Hassan about these innovations. (more…)
